Bob Northfield
Robert Northfield is a Principal & Design Director at BCT Design Group, and focuses on the creation of Master Planning and Urban Design works. With more than 30 years of experience, Bob has worked both domestically and globally on a variety of master planned projects including retail, town centers, hospitality, entertainment, workplace, residential, and large-scale-mixed-use developments. He is involved in all aspects of the design process, from initial feasibility planning and concept, entitlement to design development. Leading the firm wide collaborative effort’s to craft and create engaging mixed-use environments; streetscapes and neighborhoods where communities and people work together to create a memorable experiences and a true spirit of building community.
Prior to joining BCT, Bob was a Partner with DDG (Development Design Group), managing large scale, vertically integrated mixed-use projects around the world. He has conducted business in over 29 different countries and enjoys exploring the cultural, social, and business practices of different communities around the world and how to integrate those elements into a design philosophy. Bob derives his greatest professional satisfaction from exceeding client expectations and achieving real, lasting results which are aesthetically pleasing, collaborative, community rooted and memorable.
Bob graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture in 1987 and is currently a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
